In a comprehensive study of the two World Wars, the institute examines historical contexts and interrelations, as well as structures and practices of power within political systems.

Cold War

Austria formed a deep corridor into the Eastern Bloc on the map of the Cold War. Due to its geopolitical position, the country was situated at the intersection of the East-West confrontation.
